In a number of paintings here I have used the technique of cold wax painting. This medium consists of beeswax mixed with a small amount of solvent and resin. It thickens oil paint thus enabling textured application and once dry, carving and scratching of the surface of the painting. The solvent evaporates quickly thus speeding up drying and enabling fast. painting in layers. It can be combined with other media such as dry pigments, charcoal dust, marble dust, oil pastels and crayons.
